Roof Repairs

A stain on the ceiling is the last step in a leak, not the first. We work back to where the water is actually getting in.

What to look for

Signs you need this work done

Most roof leaks aren't caused by the spot where you can see the damage. Water travels along battens and rafters before it shows up inside, which is why a patch job so often fails within a season. We inspect the whole roof, including flashings, valleys, ridge capping and penetrations, then repair the point of entry rather than the symptom.

  • Water stains or bubbling paint on the ceiling

Usually the sign of a leak that's been going for a while. The wet patch inside is rarely directly under the entry point, so it's worth having the whole roof looked at.

  • Cracked, slipped or missing tiles

Common after a storm, or from foot traffic during other trades' work. Once water gets past the tiles it starts on the sarking and the timber underneath.

  • Rusted or lifting flashing

Flashing around chimneys, skylights and roof valleys is the first thing to fail on most older roofs. It's also one of the most commonly botched repairs.

  • Damage after a storm or hail

Wind lifts tiles and sheets, hail dents and cracks them. A lot of the damage isn't visible from the ground, so it's worth a proper look before the next downpour.

Why Renovaroof

Why people go with us

  • We find the cause, not just the wet patch

A leak rarely starts where it shows up inside. We track it back to the flashing, valley or cracked tile that's actually letting water in, so the repair holds.

  • You'll get the honest option, including 'do nothing yet'

If your roof has years left in it, we'll say so. We'd rather quote you for a repair now and a restoration in five years than sell you a re-roof you don't need.

  • Itemised quotes, no moving numbers

You'll see what's included before we start. If we find something unexpected up there, we stop and talk to you about it rather than adding it to the invoice.

  • The same crew from quote to clean-up

The person who inspects your roof is across the job when the work happens. Nothing gets lost handing your job between a salesperson and a subbie.

Common questions

Roof Repairs questions

It depends on what's actually wrong, what your roof is made of and how hard it is to get to. A couple of cracked tiles is a very different job to re-doing a valley. We'll give you a written quote after we've had a look, and you're under no obligation to go ahead with it.
